The NDI and Performance Media Networking course content was developed when NDI 4 was released and there are some add-on sections coving aspects of NDI 5. There is no information about NDI 6 new features covered in this course. You will find that the majority of information is relevant, even when using the newest NDI releases. Until updated courses are available, this class is freely available for all users. Video over IP networking is quickly becoming a core competency required for live production workflows. However, the majority of networking courses aren’t designed for the high-performance requirements that come with building video networks. This Viz University course is designed to address these aspects. The class will get into network hardware and the type of features needed to build a LAN that can deliver on the required performance. Finally, get a deep comprehension of NDI itself. Topics include: an understanding of the protocol operation, using Access Manager to organize the NDI network, how to use multicast with NDI, and troubleshooting. Spend less time diagnosing issues and more time getting productions done. New class sections dedicated to NDI 5 are now included with this course. This includes topics like Reliable UDP, Link Aggregation Control Protocol, Preferred NIC selection, Discovery Server enhancements and NDI 5 Tools operation. Class Updated - June 2022 Read more
