The course was excellent, but the "ergonomics" of Tricaster could be better. Early days of Adobe, there were different keyboard shortcuts in different apps for essentially the "same" function. Eventually, Adobe unified their shortcuts to those we know today. With Tricaster, it was confusing when a dissolve was called a "fade." Buses might be stripes, banks or whatever. On audio boards with more sources than buttons, there is a "page" button -- a concept and layout that strikes me as easier to grasp and work with. Colors of buttons -- universally red for PGM bus and green for PRV bus might be helpful. Things of this nature. Perhaps assign numbers to transitions, like Unicode numbers, rather than scrolling through lists. The customization of Tricaster is a definite plus, but nail some things down, conceptually, so that they are easier to remember.
